Verify the file
Open PowerShell in the folder with the download and run:
Get-FileHash .\InfinityLauncher.exe -Algorithm SHA256The Hash column must match the SHA-256 above exactly, ignoring case. If it does not, delete the file and do not run it. The same value is published as InfinityLauncher.exe.sha256 on this page.
Windows SmartScreen warning
The launcher is currently not code-signed. Windows may therefore show “Windows protected your PC” with “Unknown publisher”. That is expected for an unsigned file; it does not by itself mean the file is malicious, and it does not prove the file is safe either.
Only continue if you downloaded it from this site and the SHA-256 matches. Then choose More info, then Run anyway.
Code signing is planned.
Antivirus false positives
Tools that inject into another process, like this one, are often flagged by Windows Defender and other scanners, and unsigned files more so. If a detection appears, do not turn off your antivirus globally. Instead, check the hash, and if you trust the file, add an exclusion for the launcher file only. Please report the detection, with the product and detection name, in the Discord so it can be sent to the vendor as a false positive.
